Do countdown timers still work? ›

Google's Danny Sullivan, the company's Search Liaison, tweeted that the feature was now back and available for use. While there isn't a specific date, the timer was reportedly removed sometime in mid-July. Sullivan confirmed on August 1 that the timer and stopwatch had indeed been pulled because of an issue.

Only the contestant whose result is closer to the target number scores points: ten for reaching it exactly, seven for being between one and five from the target, and five for being within six and ten from the target.

First Launch and Using the App:

You can type, 2m for 2 minutes, 10s for 10 seconds or even fully write down a value such as '1 hour and 30 minutes'. In the example below, we are setting the countdown value to 2m, i.e. 2 minutes. You will notice how the value then automatically changes to 2 minutes on the app window.

How to access the Timer for Windows. To get to the Windows 11 or Windows 10 Timer, you first need to open the Clock app. Type clock in the taskbar Search bar in Windows 10 or in the Search window in Windows 11 (use the magnifying glass icon on the taskbar to open it).

Tap on plus (+) button to create a new countdown timer. Fill in the event's Title, Date, and Time fields, and you can optionally tweak the tile's cosmetics. Tap on the checkmark symbol in the top right corner when you're done. Go back to the Home Screen.
